Prior to joining Pitta & Giblin LLP, Mr. Mirones was a New York State Assemblyman (R) for the 60th Assembly District, where he was first elected in 2002. He established himself as one of the more impassioned voices for change in the New York State Legislature. He was appointed to serve as the ranking member of the Assembly Mental Health Committee, and also sat on the Transportation, Cities and Corporations, Authorities and Commissions committees. He was a member of the state Assembly Legislative Task Force for People with Disabilities.
Mr. Mirones has lectured at New York University Medical School, and extensively within the prosthetic orthotics profession.
He is a member of the Brooklyn and Staten Island Chambers of Commerce, and serves as a trustee of the Staten Island Institute of Arts & Sciences, and was formerly the president of the Grasmere Civic Association.
Mr. Mirones received a B.S. in Prosthetics and Orthotics from New York University Medical School.
